Presentations
In class Thursday we gave presentations on effective ways of revising our papers. The strategy I covered was "Cutting Clutter." I know that I could definitely use this one! I think a lot of the time we all try to sound smart so we'll use bigger words or smarter phrases that really don't even fit in with the rest of the writing. Also, I think another reason people add more than they need to is because they are trying to meet the number of word requirement, which is important to do, but could easily be achieved by finding another fact or two to fit in there instead.
